SPRINGVILLE, Utah, Nov. 16, 1998 -- Kitco, Inc., a manufacturer of military aircraft parts and kits, and Wencor West, a commercial aircraft part distributor and leading PMA manufacturer, today announced ISO 9001 certification following an audit by Det Norske Veritas.
The ISO certification is valid for the design, manufacture and distribution of aerospace products and components. This achievement demonstrates each company's ongoing commitment to provide quality parts and service to the worldwide military and commercial aerospace industries. Kitco and Wencor also received ANSI-RAB and RvA accreditation.
"Our quality philosophy has always been to design and implement manufacturing, inventory control and inspection systems which ensure quality, rather than continually add inspectors to catch errors," said Brent Wood, President of Kitco and Wencor West. "ISO certification shows that we are and will continue to be guided by that philosophy."
Although Kitco and Wencor service different markets, they have much in common, including a Springville, Utah-based sales and stocking facility. The two companies are also members of the Aero Technologies Group, along with Durham Aircraft Service and Daniels Service Parts Company.

Companies that design, develop, manufacture, install and service products are eligible for ISO 9001. Certification is awarded based on the implementation of specific quality procedures and processes, and based on a demonstrated commitment to quality improvement.
